ACB Connects!

ACB Connects!  is a series of live sessions to connect with our members.  These sessions started as a way  to share current resources and ways to adjust to necessary restrictions with sessions focused on topics related to COVID-19 research and recommendations and have now moved on to include other topics of interest to community bands and their members.

Heidi Sytsema is the Vice President of Development and Donor Services at the Community Foundation for Muskegon County

  • This will be an interactive session. Following a discussion of the topic with ACB President Gail Brechting, we will hold smaller breakout sessions where participants can ask questions of Heidi in a smaller group setting and also participate in some brainstorming.

A Conversation with Alfred Watkins and Tom Rotondi
  • Tom Rotondi will talk with Alfred about a variety of topics, including his remarkable career and his thoughts on community bands.
  • Conductor, lecturer, clinician and author Alfred Watkins is the retired Director of Bands at Lassiter HS (GA) and the Co-Founder, Musical Director and Principal Conductor of the Cobb Wind Symphony. He has conducted bands in 38 states. His bands have performed at the Midwest Clinic five times.
