Committee Projects

The Association of Concert Bands has several committees to support our mission.

The Service Committee was established to research, recommend and oversee any and all ideas or initiatives that are deemed beneficial to better serve the membership of the Association of Concert Bands.

Some of our current active initiatives of the Service Committee include:

1.  Continuing our partnership with NAXOS Records to provide the NAXOS Music Library (NML) as a free member benefit to Student, Individual, Family and Life memberships.

2.  Collaborating with the Kappa Kappa Psi Alumni Association to promote, advertise and share special events and projects on each other’s digital sites and exchange written articles published in each other’s digital or hard copy Journals.

3.  Starting a “Sponsor an ACB Student Member” project.

4.  Starting initial conversations with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Professional Music Fraternity to establish an affiliation between our organizations.

Projects from other committees include  an update of the Band Builder Manual now called "Blueprint for Starting And Maintaining Community Bands," administration of the Guilbert New Member Fund, and the Composition Contest.
