This ACB Regional Connections Event will bring bands and musicians together for a day of collaboration, education, performance and discussion with an opening concert on Friday evening in Sequim, Washington, July 24-25, 2026. The Sequim City Band will be our hosts at the James Center for Performing Arts.

Friday, July 24
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Early check-in and reception
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Concerts
Saturday, July 25
9:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Music Reading
10:45 AM - 11:30 AM: Clinics
11:45 AM - 12:45 PM: Lunch
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Music Reading and Clinics
3:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Concerts
Reading Session Conductor
Dr. Brad McDavid, recently retired as the Director of Athletic Bands at the University of Washington. Read Dr. McDavid's biography.
About the Music Reading Session
The music reading session will be a chance to play through many pieces of music. The will allow musicians and directors to get a feel for a wide number of pieces across a variety of grade levels, learn about composers who may not be known to them, and allow for those playing and listening to gain perspective on the accessibility and enjoyment of a piece for their own bands. There is little rehearsing as there is no performance beyond the reading of the music as part of the session. Those registrants who do not wish to read through the music will be the only audience.

Registration for Individual participants
- Rates until April 25, 2026:
- $20 student rate (K-12)
- $45 ACB member rate
- $75 non-member rate
- Rates after April 25, 2026:
- $20 student rate (K-12)
- $55 ACB member rate
- $85 non-member rate
- Registration includes:
- participation in /observation of Music Reading Session
- attendance at any sessions/clinics/roundtables/masterclasses
- lunch
- attendance at all performances and concerts
- attendance at all receptions
If you need to cancel your registration, you must do so by June 1, 2026. Cancellations will incur a $10 fee.
