Subject :College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) COVID-19 Response Committee Report

Attached you will find the current College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) COVID-19 Response Committee Report. As you read through it, you’ll see that it provides a lot of very good information. Most is geared toward the education system; but, there are bits and pieces that can be extremely useful to ACB members.

I, personally, liked the information in Section 3 – COVID-19 and the Large Ensemble Rehearsal. I particularly liked the Instructional Scenario 3: Blended Scenarios because it talked about copyright laws and the use of public domain music – items we must continue to keep in mind.

Appendix 1 and 2 list many resources.

There is a lot in this report. I hope you find it useful.

As a reminder these are still preliminary results and have not yet been peer reviewed. As noted in their slides "We are providing these preliminary results to assist in the safe return to classrooms. (Normally we do not release data until they have been quality assessed and peer reviewed)."
