The following was posted by Nikk Pilato, the founder of the Wind Repertory Project, to the CBDNA website. It has information about compositions for small bands as well as compositions for which the instrumentation can be modified to meet current needs. I hope it is helpful.

Dear Colleagues,
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy in these rather interesting times...
As we all look ahead to the fall semester and the possibility of smaller ensembles, reduced instrumentation, and socially-distanced setups, the task of selecting appropriate literature for this new reality looms large on the horizon...
In order to assist in finding and selecting literature that will fit your particular ensemble needs, the Wind Repertory Project has added a new category tag for "Flexible Instrumentation" repertoire. As of now, the number of titles in the category is quite small, but it is my hope that the membership can assist us in identifying works that will fit within the category, as well as works that are so extensively cued that they could be performed by small groups with incomplete instrumentation - just in case this is what we face come the new academic year.
In addition to the Flex Instrumentation category, the Wind Rep Project also features multiple ensemble categories that might be of use in planning for your fall semester, such as chamber works, works for orchestral winds, and various sorts of woodwind, brass, and percussion ensembles.

As always, the Wind Repertory Project is free to use, and anyone may create an account and enter/edit information on the database.
In addition to the above, I'd also like to highlight the Small Band Initiative, headed by Cliff Towner and James Adams. At the link below, you will find information on music that works well for small band programs, as well as how to submit music for inclusion on the list. One of the great things that our shared band world does is to work collaboratively and rise to the occasion...this would be a wonderful time to have more input from members on their own previous experiences with music that works for smaller ensembles, or ensembles with incomplete instrumentation. I know that Cliff and James (and really, all of us) would dearly love to hear from you with your own personal recommendations for inclusion. Hope all are staying safe and healthy, and enjoy your summer!
